DCU Black Lives Matter

As a former student of DCU and a photojournalist I felt compelled to cover this protest against a racist member of staff within the university.

On November 26th 2021, students from Dublin City University held a protest against assistant professor, Dr Mark Humphrys. Students discovered that Dr Humphrys blog contained multiple racist comments. Some of these comments were about George Floyd, whose death sparked a global Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. Over 100 people from different faculties attended the protest to show their support for the movement.
